The Sensorimotor Adaptation Research Team is led by Dr Eugene Poh at Macquarie University. Our team is dedicated to understanding neural, cognitive and motor mechanisms underlying human motor control and learning. This work strives to produce fundamental knowledge about motor control and learning, with the ultimate goal of using that knowledge in improving rehabilitation strategies for individuals with motor impairments.

Our research integrates expertise in motor psychophysics, computational modelling, non-invasive brain stimulation and neuropsychological techniques to reveal mechanisms through which motor skills are acquired, refined and deployed. Through our research, we aim to improve our understanding of how the brain controls movement and to develop effective interventions for motor rehabilitation.
